Kākā returned to Abel Tasman

Twelve kākā have been released into the Abel Tasman National Park, where NEXT invests in Project Janszoon.
The kākā have been released into an area with intensive trapping, in the hope they will survive and begin a new
population there. The kākā are smart birds and locals are being encouraged not to get to close or to feed them – so
they adapt properly to living in the wild. Stuff filed this report.
