Cacophony – Kiwis develop Te Kahu Ora – Cloak of Health to help fight Covid

The Cacophony Project focuses on New Zealand’s big environmental problem – developing AI to help get rid of the rats stoats and possums that kill 25 million of our native birds a year.

But when the Covid-19 pandemic hit – it pivoted and tweaked the thermal camera its developed to track predators – to monitor people’s temperature.

Te Kahu Ora, Cloak of Health, is now being marketed as a cost effective tool for early detection of Covid-19.
