Kākā breeding in the Abel Tasman National Park by Robyn Janes Project Janszoon
For the first time in decades, the native parrot kākā is breeding in the Abel Tasman National Park. This is a milestone for Project Janszoon, the NEXT supported environmental initiative which is restoring the biodiversity in the Park. There are six chicks which are starting the fledge – bred from wild males and captive introduced females. Project Janszoon’s Robyn Janes filed this report.
