Kea – balancing pest control and conservation
The endangered and adored alpine parrot the kea is caught in the middle of a fine balancing act. Conservationists need to eliminate predators without harming the birds.It’s been a challenge – especially for NEXT supported environmental initiative Zero Invasive Predators which has been working on a project in the Perth River Valley.
